Test Launch
It has been a couple of months since the launch of the new BTB website and we are really pleased with the feedback we have received from all of our BTB customers. It seems that the fresh clean new look, BTB rewards and exclusive members only sections have proved a hit with customers both new and old.
As fantastic as the feedback has been for the new website we still seem to be having the same old issue with poor performance on peak launches. This of course is terrible us but more importantly it is a nightmare you guys as the inevitable scramble and frantic button pressing leaves everyone frustrated and ready to throw their computer out of the window.
Our It company have been working very hard to do all they can from their end but it is impossible to test how successful their optimisation has been without loads of people all trying to access the site and products all at once . This is where you guys come in. On 16th January we will be running a test launch on www.badtastebears.com to try and replicate what happens on a BTB limited item launch and need as many people as possible to get online and, well for want of a better phrase, “break the BTB Webstore”.
At 6:30pm on Monday 16th January we will be adding a “test” product to the “Members Only” section of www.badtastebears.com. This product will be at the top of the page and will be illustrated by the picture in this news item. This “test” product will cost £0.50 and for this we will give you £1’s worth of reward points.
On launch night all you need to do is do what you would do on an ordinary launch night. So if you are a page refresher make sure you do it, if you hammer your keyboard or mouse on limited launches be sure to pound away. We need to try and replicate a launch night as accurately as possible so that our IT guys can get all the data they need to find out wherewww.badtastebears.com may be vulnerable under high traffic stress.
We really hope as many people as possible will take part in the launch to help us eliminate as many of the past problems as we can. The more people who take part the more data we have and the more confident we can be of fixing the peak launch hitches.
