As readers of Peter’s Blog and Twitter feeds will be aware, Peter is involved in the “Creative Hinckley ” project in his home town. Providing support for and fostering the development of a vibrant and sustainable creative and artistic business community in the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, the project works out of the recently regenerated Atkins Building.

It is at this fabulous venue that we will be celebrating Peter’s artwork of the Bad Taste Bears so far and also looking forward to what is sure to be another fantastic year with an exclusive BTB 2011 preview and panel.

Venue

The Atkins Gallery is a beautiful grade 2 listed building located in the heart of Hinckley providing a new hub for creatives throughout the borough.

The Gallery does have limited capacity and as such we will only be able to provide space for 110 guests and there will be limited seating available – this is to be a very intimate and exclusive get together. As space is so limited and we want as many collectors as possible to be able to attend there will be a restriction on tickets. The tickets will be members only and limited to 2 per person – with this in mind we would also ask that for the first week of tickets being on sale people to exercise consideration for their fellow collectors and refrain from booking up tickets for friends and family who will essentially be taking the place of a collector. I

Exhibition and Preview

Peter’s artwork – Even as we speak, Pete is putting together the key pieces of Bad Taste Bear artwork from the past 10 years ready to exhibit in November. There are sure to be many hidden gems as well as the chance to show off some classics in a fabulous Gallery.

2011 Preview - This is your chance to get the low down on everything Bad Taste Bear for 2011. Presented by a BTB panel including creator Peter Underhill and Oddco’s Paul Kell, you will be the first to see the exciting developments we have in store for the BTB range.

Q&A - As well a preview of 2011, the panel will also be holding a question and answer session. If you have a burning BTB question you have always wanted to know the answer to then this will be the time to ask.

BTB Con Exclusive Bear.

The exclusive figurine is to be a very special version of Evan and Elle. Like Gabriel before it, it is sure to be a key piece in the BTB collection. This bear will only be available from the Gallery with a small quantity available at European events.

Full BTB Con details including times, ticket release, collectors gallery, Evan and Elle pictures and a special 18″ bear will be revealed over the next few weeks. Be sure to chat about this and everything BTB on the BTB Discussion Board.

In 1888 no bear was safe….The Butcher is back….

A murder of the foulest kind was committed in the neighbourhood of Bearchapel in the early hours of yesterday morning, but by  whom and with what motive is at present a complete mystery. At a quarter to 4 o’clock Police constable Kell, 97J, when in Ted’s Row, Bearchapel, came upon the body of a teddy bear lying on a part of the footway, and on stooping to raise her up in the belief that she was drunk as a skunk, he discovered that her throat was cut almost from ear to ear. She was a dead ted, but still warm….

Last weeks anticipated Zombie outbreak resulted in carnage on both sides – many of the undead were slain but many heroic Survivors were also lost in the bloody battle.

It is feared that the Zombies are re-grouping and planning another attack, with some of their revered Phantoms leading the onslaught. Both sides must rally their fighters and prepare for combat.

Between Friday 27th and Monday 30th August there will be 25 Phantom Rot n Roll auctions started every day on the official BTB eBay store – total of 100 auctions. Each auction will run for just 24 hours and will start at just 0.99p with absolutely no reserve!

These auctions are limited to 1 per person – if the same account wins more than one auction, only the first auction will be valid and they will be removed as winner from all other auctions. We reserve the right to re-list these items.

Payment can either be made via paypal or you can contact us directly with your credit or debit card details. Payment must be received within 2 working days of winning an auction.

Be prepared – though this assault is likely to be ferocious, battle victors are assured to leave with rare and worthy war spoils.

It was only a matter of time before this BTB classic fought it’s way out Pete’s sketch book and into 3d. As with most bears Pete had a few different ideas as to how best to execute the classic joke, which you can see in the Rumours and Spoilers section of the forum.

We think we settled on the best one, so here’s Donald in his full 3d glory!

Donald will be dispatched to all BOTM subscribers on Wednesday 1st September and then released on the Online Store on Thursday 2nd.

We’re now living in an undead world. The original Zombie outbreak has led to the panicked collapse of civilian society with only isolated pockets of survivors remaining.

The Undead have grown more agile, vicious, intelligent, and stronger than the traditional zombie. They were slow and lumbering as Lurkers, but once they turned Rabid, and as confidence grew, they’ve developed into Ultimate Zombies.

On the other side, the Survivors have been left to scavenge for food and supplies in a world reduced to a pre-industrial hostile wilderness. Living under threat of attack, they’ve quickly had to become Zombie Killers. Many have stepped up as Stealth Killers as they’ve become more efficient and those who fight to protect all of humanity are known as Master Zombie Killers.

They live every day under threat of marauding Zombies and fear that a fresh outbreak is imminent…. This is predicted to take place at 6:30pm on Thursday 19th August. Here, the second set of Zombies will be unleashed:

• Rot ‘n’ Roll

These will initially be launched as a set on the Online Store and will include a FREE “I’m a Zombie” or “I’m a Zombie Killer” badge.

In addition, anyone capturing this set of Zombies will have a 50/50 chance of winning a FREE Limited Edition Self Catering Phantom Zombie – one of just 220 worldwide.

These will be allocated randomly and will NOT be shown on your invoice. Only when you receive your order will you know if a Phantom Zombie has smuggled into your order.

Please note that the Zombie Set 2 is limited to 1 per member until 10am on Friday 20th August and will be available whilst stocks of the Phantom Zombie last. The three Zombies will be released individually next week.

Representing Egypt, Augusts Twin Set was designed by forum Member Booni. Cleo and Tut Wan King are limited to just 600 pieces worldwide, with most of these are pre-allocated to people with a Twin Set Subscription and to retailers. These sets were dispatched lats Thursday, however, a small number have been reserved for the Online Store and will be made available at 6:30 pm on Monday 23rd August.
