Heroes and Villains Event - Spring 2008
Once again the world is in turmoil as good and evil battle it out for supremacy. Now, at last, the final clash of power will play out at: Villa Park, Birmingham - Saturday 26th April 2008.
Hero: a character who prevails in extreme circumstances and dramatises a sense of morality, courage and purpose. Though they may be ambiguous or flawed, they often sacrifice themselves to show humanity at its best.
Indiana Jones, Wonderwoman, Superman, Spiderman, James Bond, Harry Potter, Prince Charming, Batman, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Zorro, Lara Croft, Popeye, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Incredible Hulk, Fairy Godmother
Villain: a cruelly malicious character with a devotion to wickedness. With a selfishness of character they plot nefarious schemes They can be horribly evil or grandiosely funny, but are ultimately tragic.

Whether you're a Jedi or a Sith, a Hobbit or an Ork, a dashing British spy or an evil mastermind - get your thinking caps on watch some of the classic films for a bit of inspiration. The possibilities are almost endless; you could even get together with some other collectors and pick a film to represent!
Please note that whilst Fancy Dress is encouraged, it is not mandatory. If you prefer to dress down and attend in basic humanoid form, you can still sit back and enjoy the evening. However, we bear no liability for guests without a cloak of invisibility or defensive superpowers who fall victim to an x-ray vision undressing.
Awards will be given for the best heroes and most evil villains.
Event Bear
Get your hands on one of just 500 mini-event bears, packed in a special presentation box for £25. On ordering your tickets you will have the option of purchasing this figurine.
To get your bear you MUST order him with your ticket and the bear MUST be picked up at the event.
This bear is limited to 1 per person and will not be available to purchase at the event.
Entertainment
If you could have any super power what would it be? The ability to fly for all those dare devils out there? X-ray vision or invisibility for all the pervs or how would you like to be able to know what people are thinking? What exactly does she mean when she says "nothing I'm fine" with a harumph - Is he really looking at that big-boobed blonde's smile as she teeters past on 5 inch heels? Well we have found a man who has this extraordinary super power.
At our Spring 2008 "Heroes and Villains" Event you'd better ensure that all of your dirty little secrets are out of your mind as you will be in the company of renowned mind reader Chris James.Involving the audience with demonstrations of Mind Control and Mind Reading you will be kept enthralled throughout. Volunteers will be invited to participate in simple demonstrations including Telepathy, Mind Reading and Mind Control. You will be astounded as names of people and places only you could have known are revealed to you.
His Mystries of the Mind Show does not contain any Hypnosis. The use of members of the audience is a natural vehicle for comedy, coupled with the levitation of a member of the audience as a finale to create a mind blowing show not to be missed.
So will you be brave enough?
Food
A fork buffet will be provided with the following options:
- Breast of chicken in a light jus with roasted onions and button mushrooms
- Braised beef in red wine with Yorkshire puddings and horseradish
- Penne pasta with roasted vegetables in a cherry tomato sauce (v)
These will be served with seasonal vegetables and potato dish to compliment.

From the North
Leave M42 junction 7 onto M6. Exit M6 at junction 6 onto the A38 (M) Aston Expressway. Take first exit at roundabout turn right onto Victoria Road. At roundabout take right exit into Witton Road for Villa Park.
From the South
Take M1 to junction 19, then M6. At junction 6 turn onto the A38 (M). Then take the same route as for the North.
From the East
Approaching on the M42, turn off at Junction 8 and get onto the M6 heading towards Birmingham. Then as route for South.
Public Transport
Rail
The closest major station is Birmingham New Street located in the City Centre. From here, change onto a local service to Witton which should take about 10 minutes. The Ground is then 5 minutes walk from Witton Station.
Taxi
Birmingham New Street station to Villa Park takes 10-15 minutes (approx £8)
Bus
From Birmingham City Centre - board West Midlands Travel Bus No.7 to Witton.
Air
Birmingham International Airport: Drive from Airport/NEC onto M6 north, off at Junction 6. Journey time approximately 30 minutes.
